-16? -39?

For a person who has grown up in warm weather almost all his life, it's been a pretty drastic change ever since I've been at Notre Dame. I had only seen snow once before going there and that was during a really freak snow storm that dropped half a foot right before Christmas in 2004 in Corpus Christi. It's pretty crazy that now I walk in -16 degree weather with almost -40 wind chills and I'm fine with it. Well I mean I'm cold, but I've adjusted myself to it.

Literally today when I stepped out for 2 seconds, my nose turned into icicles. 5 minutes outside felt like a lifetime because with every wind gust, it was like piercing needles on my face. It's pretty crazy and I guess it's what I will have to live with for the next few years since I start out my job in Chicago.

Anyway point is, it's cold here. More than 85 degrees colder than Cali. Crazy crazy crazy.
